Q: What is style to you?

A: "Style, to me, is about not being too deep. Shedding skins. Crafting your own lingua franca. Channelling the spiritual energy of the Ramones."

"Utilitarian, mostly."

The JACKET. "A vintage French worker jacket. The texture and the dark blue bond perfectly. Made for layering, which is most of what I ask of a jacket. From a vintage shop in Manchester whose name I have forgotten."

The CAP. "Kerry James Marshall, The Histories. If I love an exhibition, I am getting the memorabilia. The show closed at the Royal Academy in January and opens at the Musée d'Art Moderne in Paris on 18 September."

The TROUSERS. "Japanese denim, from Clutch Cafe on Great Portland Street. Everything about the place works. My mind is at ease shopping there. The quality of the denim and its country of origin need no introduction from me."

Q: What is style to you?

A: "Nothing? Everything? It's a way of living, constantly picking up things that move you, or at least make you feel something. I guess a sense of style can be trained. People, surely, can compose their style from different sources and materials, accumulating it into an ever-evolving paradigm that surrounds life itself."

"Everything except the shoes is vintage - I choose to believe I am not a shopaholic, but if I see great vintage pieces for almost no money, I can't resist."

The TRENCH. "Made in Great Britain, it's beautifully oversized, so I can add as many cabbage layers as necessary, which comes in handy during the changing seasons."

The CARDIGAN. "Its bright colour reminds me of Yves Klein's blue - profound and electric, it speaks for itself. Simplicity is at the core of this outfit, and at the core of this simplicity is this shade of blue. A perfect colour."

The JEANS. "I think everyone has to own a pair of jeans that feels like a second skin. Mine are vintage - I bought them at the peak of my body dysmorphia. Since my job was about tasting food, I gained some weight, and these jeans, luckily, were big enough not to make me feel so insecure about my body. Now I wear them with more pleasure, since my size has gone down, and they fit better."

020.6:MMM, Michael's pick for 000, and the second half of a pair. Fourteen tracks, one hour and thirteen minutes. Where 020.5 opened acoustic and closed in dub, this one opens in dub and walks back to the band: Al Wootton, Mona Yim, DEADWALKMAN and Abe Duque's acid, down through Pearson Sound into Malcolm McLaren's 1989 ballroom orchestra and Channel Tres twenty-nine years later, then Gerardo Frisina, Beni Life and Moca hand over to The Foundations, Hector Lavoe, Antibalas and a Chilean balada to close.
